Kambi pens sports betting deal with Mexico’s PlayCity

Kambi Group has agreed to provide a multi-channel sports betting service to ‘PlayCity’, a brand owned and operated by Apuestas Internacionales.

Kambi Group has agreed to provide a multi-channel sports betting service to ‘PlayCity’, a brand owned and operated by Apuestas Internacionales.

The agreement will cover PlayCity’s network of 17 land-based casinos in Mexico, as well as its online platform.

Kambi trialled the retail offering in an initial two casinos and has since rolled out the service to a total of five sites, with the remaining land-based facilities to go live by the end of March 2017.

Kristian Nylén, chief executive of Kambi, said: “It has been a successful year working with PlayCity and we are delighted to sign this agreement.

“Kambi has shown it can translate its compelling online user experience into its retail offering for PlayCity's casino customers with its unique over-the-counter and self-service betting terminal offering.

“We are delighted that PlayCity’s customers are embracing the product and we look forward to not only expanding the land-based distribution but also to going live via online and mobile channels.”
