Canada-based Intertain Group has announced that it will rebrand as Jackpotjoy as soon as it completes its relocation to the UK.

The name will reflect the firm’s Jackpotjoy online bingo brand, which it acquired from Gamesys last year, alongside other services including Starspins and Botemania.

The rebrand comes after Intertain In July said it would go ahead with its planned move to London, despite the result of June’s Brexit vote.

Intertain will also shift its stock listing to the London Stock Exchange and trade on the official list of the UK Listing Authority.

“We are excited to have reached these important milestones in implementing the UK strategic initiatives,” Intertain’s chairman of the board, Neil Goulden, said.

“We continue to believe that these initiatives will result in a fuller and more appropriate valuation of our business and that they position Intertain for long-term growth and success.

“We are also excited to be taking the UK strategic initiatives to our shareholders at the meeting later this month, and to providing them with an opportunity to consider and approve the arrangement, which is necessary for us to proceed with these proposals.”

Goulden will serve on the board of directors for the rebranded firm, alongside Andrew McIver, president and chief executive, as well as David Danziger, Paul Pathak and Jim Ryan. Nigel Brewster, Keith Laslop, Jörgen Nordlund and Colin Sturgeon are set to become new directors.

Brewster and Sturgeon will take independent non-executive director roles, with Nordlund to become a non-executive director and Laslop an executive director.

Intertain also announced the conclusion of its search for a chief financial officer, with Laslop to retain his role with the rebranded company.

“The board feels Keith is undoubtedly the person for the job. In the short period I have worked with him, I have come to appreciate his deep understanding of our business and industry, his skills and his unwavering commitment to the success of our business,” Goulden said.
