IGRG launches responsible gambling week

| By Stephen Carter
Industry Group for Responsible Gambling (IGRG) has launched week-long cross-industry initiative aimed at promoting responsible gambling.

The Industry Group for Responsible Gambling (IGRG) has today launched Responsible Gambling Week, a national, cross-industry initiative aimed at promoting responsible gambling.

The campaign focus for the week running until next Wednesday 18 October is “Let’s Talk About Responsible Gambling”, aimed at starting more conversations about what it means to gamble responsibly.

In a statement, the IGRG said: “The aim of the week is to raise awareness amongst customers and the wider public about how to gamble responsibly, the tools that are available to keep gambling safe and fun, and where anyone can find help and support for those who need it.”

The IGRG, consisting of the CEOs of the five main industry trade bodies in the UK for online, bookmakers, casinos, bingo clubs and arcades, has partnered with specialist charities GambleAware and GamCare for the campaign.

More information can be found at responsiblegamblingweek.co.uk and updates at the iGRG’s Facebook and Twitter.

Earlier this month the IGRG recently made a number of changes to its Industry Code for Socially Responsible Advertising, including various measures designed to limit access of under-18s to inappropriate gambling marketing material on YouTube and Twitter.
