Öhman served as NetEnt’s head from 2006 to 2011, leading the company through its listing on the NASDAQ OMX Stockholm in January 2009.

He served as vice president of sales for Net Entertainment at Betsson AB from September 2003 to October 2006.

Most recently he served as chief executive of network security vendor Clavister from March to June 2017.

“Scout is in a similar position as NetEnt back in early 2000, addressing a new and rapidly growing market with a market leading and innovative solution,” said Öhman.

Scout Gaming chief executive Andreas Ternström said: “Johan Öhman is a gambling veteran with great knowledge from building successful companies.

“In addition to his wide understanding of the gambling sector he will, in particular, bring his knowledge about business processes and strategic planning to Scout.”
