FSB Technology has linked up with IT solutions firm Rackspace to implement its own private cloud ahead of the new club football season.

Already supplying software solutions to operators that want to control their own data feeds and trading teams, FSB said the private service will enable it to launch these new clients in their own ring-fenced environment.

FSB also said that it will be able to add scale at short notice to major events such as the Grand National or Cheltenham Festival UK horseracing meeting, as well as during regular weekly spikes such as televised football matches.

The service will also feature improved peak-traffic bandwidth, as well as 24/7 hardware monitoring and operating system support, with engineers available to replace faulty hardware.

Dave McDowell, co-founder and chief executive of FSB, said: “Our aim has always been to help our clients run the most efficient operations in the industry by using modern technology to reduce the manual labour required to run a sports betting operation.

“Another key benefit of moving to our new private cloud is that we can now significantly reduce the initial capital investment required for any company which requires their own dedicated platform solution.

“Both competition and regulatory costs are on the rise, however, and so it makes sense for our clients to make sure the product they offer is both secure and scalable while also being flexible and cost effective enough to move into new territories.

“I’m very confident that creating our own private cloud will be of great benefit to our existing clients and those who we are in the process of launching.”
