More than 50 people will work at the new facility

Evolution Gaming has become the first company to open a purpose-built live casino production studio in the US as part of its ongoing growth plans in the wider North American market.

The facility is located in New Jersey and is the live casino provider’s 10th studio worldwide. The company first announced plans to establish a studio in the state last month.

Evolution will be able to use the studio to provide a live casino solution for its clients in the US to offer such services to players on desktop, tablet and mobile.

The company recently added New Jersey-based Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City to its client portfolio. Evolution also works with 888casino, Resorts Casino Hotel, Rush Street Interactive and Ocean Resort Casino Atlantic City in the state.

The studio will feature an initial 10 online live tables and a range of Evolution game variants, although the company also plans to use the new facility to offer more games.

Dedicated tables that can be used by operators for live sporting event promotions, providing an opportunity to tap into the expanding sports betting market in the US. New Jersey is one of several states to have legalised sports wagering in the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling on PASPA.

Martin Carlesund, chief executive of Evolution, said: “Our entry into the US market has been a carefully considered long-term project.

“Back in 2013 Evolution became the first live casino provider to gain New Jersey Preliminary Waiver approval. Having closely monitored US market developments over the past few years, while reinforcing our position as live casino market leaders in Europe, we believe that now is the right time to launch with a full-fledged studio facility for the US.”

Carlesund added: “Now we have a fantastic live casino studio in New Jersey — with a wide choice of live games from day one, and ample room for expansion and the rapid ramping up of services to meet our new US licensees’ needs.

“We are now extremely well placed to support our licensees as they acquire and grow market share in the exciting new US live casino market.”
