Corredor Empresarial has become the second gambling company to obtain an online gaming licence from Colombian regulator Coljuegos.

The new licence will enable Corredor Empresarial to offer “games of chance” via the Betplay.com.co website to consumers in the South American country.

The licence will cover slot machines, roulette games and sports betting activities.

In June, Wplay.co became the first company to pick up an online gambling licence in Colombia, although Coljuegos said in a statement on its website that it hopes to award further licence in the near future.

Coljuegos president Juan B. Pérez Hidalgo said: “We want more operators to obtain the authorisation of Coljuegos, so we can achieve a strong market that is in tune with new technologies.”
