Coingaming Group has appointed former William Hill executive Richard Walsh as its new managing director.

Walsh, who spent more than 20 years with William Hill in various management roles, will now relocate to the Coingaming headquarters in Tallinn, Estonia.

As managing director, Walsh will oversee all operations for the entire group, including a new eSports-focused brand that will soon launch.

The appointment of Walsh comes after Coingaming also recently named Dominic Bourke as director of casino and Christopher Uren director of sportsbook.

“After more than two decades at William Hill, I could not resist a new challenge at one of gaming’s most exciting and innovative companies,” Walsh said.

“The Coingaming group is growing rapidly and I will endeavour to ensure that this growth continues in a sustainable way.”

Coingaming operates various Bitcoin betting brands such as BitCasino.io and Sportsbet.io.

Tim Heath, chief executive of Coingaming, added: “Richard is an industry veteran who has worked for one of the most successful brands in gaming. His experience will be vital in taking Coingaming to the next level.”
