Scottish Premiership football club Celtic has unveiled online betting brand Dafabet as its new main front-of-shirt sponsor.

Dafabet, which had been linked with an agreement for several months, has signed a four-season deal, from 2016-17 to 2019-2020.

Under the agreement, which the club said represents the largest in the history of Scottish football, Dafabet branding will appear on the front of Celtic’s playing jerseys.

Dafabet has an existing relationship with the club, having last year agreed a five-season deal to become its international betting partner.

“Having already formed a strong partnership with the club we can only go from strength to strength over the next four years,” Dafabet’s head of sports marketing and sponsorship, John Cruces, said.

“Now to have Dafabet at the heart of Celtic sponsorship is a milestone event and a very proud moment for us.”

Peter Lawwell, chief executive of Celtic, added: “We have already enjoyed an excellent relationship with Dafabet and we are delighted they have made such an increased commitment to the club.

“Partnerships such as the one we announce today allow us to look forward with confidence as we ensure Celtic maintains its position as the biggest and best in Scottish football.”
