Betsson has announced the appointment of Kaaren Hilson as chief financial officer.

Betsson has announced the appointment of Kaaren Hilson as chief financial officer.

Hilson, who currently serves as chief financial officer at telecommunications firm Telenor Sweden, will move into her new role at Betsson no later than November 1 this year.

Earlier in her career, Hilson spent time as both chief financial officer and chief executive at Telenor in Montenegro, and also had a spell with the company in Asia.

The appointment comes after Betsson last month confirmed that current chief financial officer Fredrik Rüdén would step down from the role before the end of August.

Ulrik Bengtsson, chief executive and president of Betsson, said: “Kaaren’s very broad financial and general management experience, coupled with her international track record in regulated environments, will be great assets for Betsson.

“Our revenue mix is increasingly balanced, shifting from primarily Nordic to a pan- European/Central Asian business with a broad mix of markets.”
