Betsson has linked up with BetConstruct to roll out a new sports betting service in Spain.

Under the deal, Betsson will now offer the BetConstruct sportsbook product to punters in the country.

Players will be able to place pre-match and live bets across a range of sports.

“We are happy to be partnering with BetConstruct for our new sportsbook venture in Spain; BetConstruct is already integrated with our existing technology provider in this market,” Betsson’s managing director for Southern Europe and Latin America, Andrea Rossi, said.

“We have confidence in the product and its functionality and with BetConstruct we will shorten our time to market and they will help us to deliver on our entry plans.”

Kristina Hambardzumyan, regional director in Malta at BetConstruct, added: “Betsson is known as a company providing to its customers the best products in the industry and choosing BetConstruct as sportsbook provider for Spain market emphasises their good taste in gaming.”

The news comes after Betsson chief executive Pontus Lindwall last week said he was “not satisfied” with the company’s performance in the third quarter, despite achieving year-on-year revenue and profit growth.

Revenue in the three months to September 30 increased by 11% to SEK1.18bn (€122.5m/$144m).
