The World Series Of Backgammon Joins Jadestone Network
21 July 2009

The World Series Of Backgammon has launched a branded online website at WorldSeriesOfBackgammon.com using a platform from Jadestone Networks, the Swedish firm behind the GamArena and DiceArena multi-player gaming systems.
The official website launch takes place this Friday, July 24 during The World Series Of Backgammon’s third tour from the Palm Beach Casino in Cannes.
Jadestone revealed that WorldSeriesOfBackgammon.com has been built using its cutting-edge DiceArena multi-player platform that already includes partners such as Bwin, NordicBet and PAF.
“We’ve already seen that backgammon is a tremendously popular game,” said Robert Henrysson, Chief Executive Officer for Jadestone.
“All of our partners are hungry to launch our new version and player numbers in the network have grown every day since early June. We want to become the largest network and to be the first choice for dedicated backgammon players across Europe and this partnership with the WSOB underlines just how serious we are.”
Jadestone stated that its backgammon network is fully compliant with all commonly used competition rule sets and includes the same operations and anti-fraud systems as other DiceArena games. The system is an integrated part of Jadestone’s Arena games ‘super network’, which means that it shares a player identity system and liquidity with other multi-player games networks including GamArena. Jadestone announced that it is available across Europe with support for 25 languages.
“We’ve been building up to this online backgammon launch on WorldSeriesOfBackgammon.com for some time but we think it was worth the wait,” said Andy Bell, Managing Director for The World Series Of Backgammon.
“The Jadestone platform is absolutely the right solution for us. From July 24, all backgammon enthusiasts will be able to play online via our site and qualify for The World Series Of Backgammon’s offline events in cities such as Cannes and Prague and for The World Series Of Backgammon’s Championship in London this October where the expected prize pool will top €300,000. We have a strong field of players lined up to get rolling on our new online site.”
