Voting opens for British Poker Awards

Voting for September’s inaugural British Poker Awards has now opened on eight of eleven categories including Best Cash Player, Best Tournament Player and Best Online Player.

The British Poker Awards will take place on September 13 at The Fox Poker Club in London before the start of the World Series Of Poker Europe tournament and honour some of the game’s top achievers.

In the Best Cash Player category, voters can cast their ballot at TheBritishPokerAwards.com for Neil Channing, Richard Ashby, Luke Schwartz, Ben Grundy, Ben Roberts or Bambos Charalambos while the nominees for the Best Tournament Player prize include James Akenhead, Sam Trickett, Chris Moorman, Praz Bansi, James Dempsey and JP Kelly.

The Best Online Player accolade will go to Chris ‘Moorman1’ Moorman, Richard ‘Chufty’ Ashby, Lawrence ‘Rivermanl’ Houghton, Luke ‘__FullFlush1__’ Schwartz or Ben ‘milkybarkid’ Grundy while Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius, Michael Mizrachi, Sorel Mizzi and the mysterious ‘Isildur1’ have been put forward for the Best International Player honour.

There will also be a prize for the year’s Best Contribution To Poker with Anthony Holden, Simon Trumper, Tony Kendall, Marty Wilson, Jesse May and Victoria Coren nominated while voters can also cast votes for the Best Poker League and the Best UK Poker Forum.

Finally, visitors to TheBritishPokerAwards.com can also vote for three other gongs, Best All-Round Player, Best New Player and Player Of The Year.
