Victor Chandler extends Forest sponsorship
19 March 2010

Online bookmaking and gaming operator Victor Chandler has extended its shirt sponsorship agreement with English soccer team Nottingham Forest for a further two seasons.
Victor Chandler signed a ‘significant’ six-figure deal in July to serve as the official sponsor of the Championship side for one season but the extension now takes this agreement to the end of the 2011/12 seasons.
“I am delighted to have reached an agreement to continue sponsoring Nottingham Forest for a further two seasons,” said Chairman Victor Chandler.
“This season has been a huge success and I am confident the team will secure promotion to the Premier League. The global television coverage of the Premier League offers worldwide media opportunities and will benefit our Far East business particularly.
“When we agreed the initial one-year deal, I was sponsoring a team that had only narrowly avoided relegation to League One, now we are signing this extension with the intention of sponsoring a Premier League team. The initial deal was in six figures and this one is seven figures.”
The Championship is the second-tier of professional soccer for England and Wales and Nottingham Forest avoided relegation last season by seven points after achieving promotion to the division from the lower League One the season before.
“We are proud of our record of forging strong associations with our principle sponsors and delivering success for them and we are delighted Victor Chandler has agreed to extend the sponsorship agreement for a further two years,” said Mark Arthur, Chief Executive Officer for Nottingham Forest.
