Venue and date change for G2E
02 September 2010

Leading events organiser Reed Exhibitions has announced that it is changing the dates and venue for its annual Global Gaming Expo (G2E) beginning with next year’s edition.
Co-organised with the American Gaming Association, G2E is one of the international gaming entertainment industry’s premier trade show and conference events with its next instalment scheduled to take place from November 16 to 18 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
However, Reed Exhibitions revealed that the eleventh edition of the show is set to move to Las Vegas’ Sands Expo And Convention Center in order to give exhibitors ‘more breathing room and planning time’.
“The show has been happening after companies have submitted annual budgets,” said Frank Fahrenkopf, President for the American Gaming Association.
“This shift allows planning for the coming year with greater ease.”
Although the Sands Expo And Convention Center has 1.8 million square feet of meeting space including the adjacent Venetian Congress facility compared to the Las Vegas Convention Center's 2.3 million, Fahrenkopf stated that attendees will like the shift.
“The move to the Sands Expo And Convention Center provides convenience of rooms, dining and entertainment under the same roof,” said Fahrenkopf.
The permanent shift will see G2E 2011 take place from October 4 to 6 while the G2E Asia 2011 show will happen from June 8 to 9. Going forward, G2E 2012 is scheduled for October 2 to 4 with Reed Exhibitions announcing that the dates for G2E 2013 have been shifted to accommodate the Jewish holidays to September 24 to 26. In tandem, G2E Asia 2012 is set to take place from May 22 to 24 followed by G2E Asia 2013 from May 21 to 23.
