Templer promotion at NetPlay TV

British interactive gaming firm NetPlay TV has announced the promotion of its current Business Development Director, Guy Templer, to the post of Chief Operating Officer.
The London-based firm recently signed a six-month trial deal with ITV Broadcasting Limited to provide a new 30-minute transactional television bingo show for the terrestrial broadcaster’s late-night teleshopping channel, The Zone, which is set to begin later this month.
NetPlay TV revealed that 41-year-old Templer was instrumental in the signing of the experimental agreement with ITV and has assumed his new role with ‘immediate effect’ while also joining its board of directors.
“I am pleased to welcome Guy to the board,” said Martin Higginson, Chief Executive Officer for NetPlay TV.
“He has worked incredibly hard over the past few months bringing this deal to a conclusion. He brings with him a wealth of television experience, which will allow us, with his assistance, to take our brands to the next stage of their evolution.”
Templer served as Managing Director for interactive media and gambling applications firm Two Way Gaming Limited until its acquisition by NetPlay TV last year and is still a Director for the subsidiary.
NetPlay TV has broadcast deals in place with the majority of UK commercial terrestrial broadcasters including Five, STV and ITV and is striving to develop new interactive formats appealing to wider audiences in order to drive more players to a converged Internet, mobile and television gaming offering.
“With Guy's broad television experience, he will help us drive the company to these new goals,” said Higginson.
