Playtech joins World Lottery Association
02 December 2009

Playtech Limited, the international designer, developer and licensor of software for the online, mobile and land-based gaming industries, has been approved as an Associate Member of the World Lottery Association (WLA).
The WLA is a global professional organisation for state-authorised lottery and gaming firms with its members committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards while also advancing their own interests. The Basel-based group draws members from 76 countries and five continents that generate total revenues in excess of $180 billion.
Playtech stated that its approval is recognition of its position as a leading provider of online platforms for private and state-owned lottery operators in regulated markets around the world. Membership will offer Isle Of Man-based Playtech the opportunity to take a role in the development of best practices for lotteries in regulated markets on a global basis.
“We are very proud to have been approved as an Associate Member of the WLA,” said Mor Weizer, Chief Executive Officer for Playtech.
“It reflects our strong focus and experience in regulated markets, not least our work with the various lotteries that are leading operators and members of the WLA. We look forward to contributing to the Association's development in the future.”
“We welcome Playtech as an Associate Member to the WLA and look forward to working with them,” said Jean Jorgensen, Executive Director for the WLA.
