Finnish online games owner and operator Alands Penningautomatforening (PAF) has announced that Anders Ingves has been appointed as its new Chief Executive Officer and will assume his duties from May 1.

Ingves is replacing the retiring PAF boss Lars Porko and served as the Chief Executive Officer for Alandian cruise and shipping firm Birka Line before leaving last May.

PAF revealed that the 50-year-old Alander began his career as the Sales Manager for Stena Line in Norway after studying consumer behaviour, law and market economics in the US and Norway. He has also served as the Marketing Manager for Carpark, Chief Executive Officer for the Aland Tourism Board and Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Alandsbanken.

“International expansion and consumer relations are strategically important questions for PAF,” said Jarl Danielsson, Chairman for PAF.

“After a careful evaluation of a large number of candidates, we have concluded that Anders is the most suitable candidate to lead PAF in the future.”

PAF revealed that Ingves has been a member of its board and was appointed as the Chairman of the Board for Posten Aland AB at the beginning of the year.

“It is fun and exciting that the board has chosen me for this position,” said Ingves.

“PAF is a very interesting company that does business in the global entertainment industry.

“First, it is an extremely interesting company with many exciting minds,” said Ingves.

“PAF feels young and has had a rapid growth.

“Second, PAF works in an interesting part of the entertainment industry. I see great potential for growth for the company even if it will be tough to shoulder Lars Porko's mantle.”
