Oberon Media Changing Name
28 April 2008
New York City-based online gaming firm Oberon Media has announced that it will be changing its name to I-Play and integrating all of its Internet, mobile and interactive television gaming platforms.
Founded in 2003, the American company purchased mobile games developer I-Play in May and interactive television entertainment firm PixelPlay in July. It also stated that it would be launching a consumer site at IPlay.com as well as premiering games such as Dream Day Wedding, Turbo Pizza, ER Rush, My Dog and I-Play Bowling soon.
'By unifying our various publishing efforts under the I-Play brand, we now have the ability to publish content across three mass-market consumer platforms and do so in a powerfully integrated manner that will revolutionise how games are developed and distributed in the casual games sector,' said Don Ryan, Senior Vice-President of Publishing for Oberon Media.
