Leading American lottery promotions firm MDI Entertainment has signed a deal with Hip Digital Media Incorporated to offer music downloads as prizes for instant games and other marketing applications including a player rewards programmes.

MDI is a subsidiary of lottery firm Scientific Games Corporation and revealed that the agreement will see it provide lotteries with PIN codes that can be redeemed for downloads at proprietary website LotteryMusicStore.com, which has been developed by Hip Digital Media.

“We are extremely pleased to be entering the lottery category in partnership with MDI,” said Josh Gertz, Sales Vice-President for Hip Digital Media.

“Music downloads should be highly appealing to a broad spectrum of lottery players and we are excited about the opportunity to develop promotions that help lotteries achieve their goals.”

Winning players are now able to browse through a catalogue of over two million tracks at LotteryMusicStore.com and use their PIN codes to download selections onto a computer or personal media player. MDI and Hip Digital Media stated that they also plan to provide lotteries with integrated music-related marketing services including unique concert experiential prizes and other local promotions.

“We undertook an extensive review process to identify the best partner to work with in this category,” said Kyle Rogers, Executive Vice-President for MDI.

“Hip Digital Media had the complete package for us; a large catalogue of tracks for players to choose from, a well-designed Internet storefront and strong technical support.

“We also recognised that Hip Digital Media’s contacts in the music industry would be valuable in helping to secure one-of-a-kind concert experience prizes and other promotional extensions to a music-themed ticket.”
