Jadestone network utilised for backgammon championship

Jadestone Networks, the Swedish firm behind the GamArena and DiceArena multi-player gaming systems, is to have its backgammon network used as the exclusive qualifier network for the upcoming World Series Of Backgammon (WSOB) Championship.

The WSOB Championship will serve as the finale to the 2009 tour and is scheduled to take place in London on February 6 with a prize pool of $480,000.

Stockholm-based Jadestone launched its backgammon network in June and stated that it has gone on to become one of the fastest growing systems in Europe in terms of player liquidity. The firm revealed that this has been achieved through distribution deals with business-to-business partners including Bwin, NordicBet, Betoto and PAF.

In addition, Jadestone announced that Unibet has been added to its backgammon network as a distribution partner with Unibet set to join over the next few months.

“We have proven to our existing partners that backgammon is a very popular game,” said Tobias Nissen, General Manager for Jadestone.

“With new partners coming on board and with huge offline events such as the $480,000 WSOB Championship, we expect to maintain growth through 2010 and to continue to lead the industry.

“We are making breakthroughs and we have established the Jadestone backgammon network as the biggest backgammon game in town.”
