Leading American gaming technology and services firm GTech Corporation has announced the signing of a two-year contract extension to continue providing online lottery technology alongside ongoing services to the Wisconsin Lottery.
GTech is a subsidiary of Italian giant Lottomatica and stated that the extension would commence in June of 2011 and is expected to generate revenues of approximately $25 million.
“We appreciate this demonstration of support by the Wisconsin Lottery,” said Jaymin Patel, President and Chief Executive Officer for GTech.
“This contract extension illustrates its continued confidence in GTech’s capabilities and is a testament to the success of the partnership, which spans two decades.
“We will continue to work with the Wisconsin Lottery to bring it to the next level of growth, helping it to build a strategy for the future to ensure the Lottery continues to attract today’s player as well as the next generation of players. We are also prepared to support the Lottery’s growth strategy through new retail business models to further drive sales and help it to achieve the highest possible revenue for property tax relief in Wisconsin.”
The extension will see GTech continue to provide the operation and maintenance of the Lottery’s online/instant central system, terminals and communications network as well as field service, marketing support and hotline management.
