City Index appoints Rose

London-based spreadbetting provider City Index Limited has appointed the former Finance Director for British gambling giant Rank Group, Nigel Rose, as its new Chief Finance Officer.

Rose served as Rank’s Finance Director for nine years and previously held senior positions in telecommunications, media and broking.

“This is a great opportunity I simply could not turn down,” said Rose.

“City Index is an industry leader and I’m delighted to be part of the team.”

City Index also offers margined foreign exchange and contracts for difference trading and revealed that Rose would join its Executive Board and play a ‘pivotal role in formulating and delivering the company’s strategic objectives’.

“Having spent nearly ten very successful years with Blue Square and Rank Group, we are confident that he will bring significant value to our management team and contribute significantly to our business at what is an exciting time for the company,” said Martin Belsham, Chief Executive Officer for City Index.
