Chartwell Will Offer Astra Slots Online

Leading remote gaming software provider Chartwell Technology Incorporated has signed an agreement with Astra Games Limited to deploy many of Europe's most popular land-based slot games online.

Astra is subsidiary of Austria’s Novomatic, one of the world’s largest integrated gaming groups, and the two-year deal will see Chartwell launch its complete catalogue slot games over the Internet.

Chartwell stated that the agreement would ‘strengthen both companies' positions in the marketplace’ in addition to giving Astra a ‘whole new demographic of players’ from its own client list.

Calgary-based Chartwell will gain immediate access to 19 slot titles from Astra including popular European games such as Dolphin's Pearl and Book Of Ra. Other games will include a broad feature set designed to appeal to players throughout Europe before the balance of Novomatic's library follows.

“We are delighted to have concluded this agreement with Chartwell and see the combination of its undoubted experience as an operator of the highest calibre as ideally complementing Novomatic's proven reputation for game excellence and progressive innovation,” said Zane Mersich, Managing Director for Astra.

“Bringing the game appeal of internationally renowned Novomatic products such as Dolphin's Pearl and Book Of Ra to Chartwell's already impressive game portfolio is a recipe for success on which both our companies can and will build on in the coming months.”

”Working with Novomatic provides an exciting opportunity for both companies,” said David Acorn, Chief Operating Officer for Chartwell.

“Providing our customers with immediate access to a large offering of proven gaming content will provide a real benefit to their players. The integration of Astra’s 19 slot games with Chartwell's current catalogue of over 75 proprietary table, card and slot games will be done through the Chartwell Games Platform, a major addition to Chartwell's full service offering that allows for the integration of games from third-party manufacturers like Astra in a quick and seamless fashion.”
