Cantor Gaming receives final Palms approvals
30 January 2012

Cantor Gaming, an affiliate of global financial services company Cantor Fitzgerald, has received final licensing approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission and the Nevada Gaming Control Board to operate the race and sportsbook at the Palms Casino Resort.
Las Vegas-based Cantor Gaming stated that it had earlier committed to building a new race and sportsbook at the Palms offering sportsbetting fans ‘the latest in technological advancements and convenience’ including mobile sports wagering and a proprietary wireless gaming system.
Cantor Gaming revealed that construction at the Palms is now due to commence in April with completion expected in time for the start of the 2012 season of the National Football League (NFL). In the interim, the firm is to operate an ancillary sports-only book near the Mint High Limit Lounge located on the Palms’ main floor from February 7.
“We are delighted to have received regulatory approval quickly, enabling us to operate at the Palms in time for ‘March Madness’, which is an exciting period for sportsbetting patrons,” said Lee Amaitis, President and Chief Executive Officer for Cantor Gaming.
“We look forward to working with the Palms and unveiling a spectacular new sportsbook later this year that will offer sportsbetting fans a luxury first-class betting experience.”
