BoyleSports signs with The Betting Channel

10 March 2010

The Betting Channel has signed a deal with leading Irish bookmaker BoyleSports Limited to sponsor segments of its dedicated multi-sportsbetting online television service at TheBettingChannel.tv.

BoyleSports stated that its agreement will see it contribute odds and markets to TheBettingChannel.tv, which is streamed live six days a week, while its logo will appear on studio backdrops and graphics.

TheBettingChannel.tv began streaming Tuesday to Sunday in January for two hours daily beginning from nine o’clock in the morning London time and scrutinises all of the day’s major global sporting events while identifying regular betting opportunities including in-running markets. The dedicated multi-sportsbetting television service uses technology from Satellite Information Services Limited, the outside broadcast production providers for the BBC, and is the brainchild of former Sky Sports and Liverpool TV presenter Alan Bentley.

The deal will also see BoyleSports’ Leon Blanche and Nicola McGeady join Bentley and sports and betting journalists including The Racing Post’s Mark ‘Couch’ Winstanley to preview the betting opportunities available on a range of sports and entertainment events.

“It’s fantastic to have BoyleSports on board and we look forward to working with Leon, Nicola and the rest of their team,” said Bentley.

“In being able to tailor our output to benefit our partners, we believe that we offer a prime platform for bookmakers to communicate with a large audience of bettors and sports enthusiasts in a truly interactive way. This is particularly the case when there’s a major event to focus on, which makes it even more exciting to have this partnership in place ahead of The Festival at Cheltenham.”
