30 August 2010

Online sportsbetting site 12Bet.com, which recently received an operating license from the Isle Of Man, has signed a deal that will see British firm GB Group manage its online age and identification verification processes.
Chester-based GB Group helps organisations realise the full value of their customer base by recognising and verifying all elements of a consumer's identity at every interaction.
The agreement will see 12Bet.com roll out GB Group’s international identification verification product, which is powered by English company’s ID3 technology and has the capability of checking in excess of 800 million citizens in over 25 countries.
“Following our strategic entry into the European market, a key requirement for us was to be able to accurately verify identities across borders,” said Rory Anderson, Chief Executive Officer Europe for 12Bet.com.
“GB Group’s identification verification solution perfectly complements our existing know-your-customer and anti-fraud policies and procedures, helping us to achieve our goal.
“We are extremely impressed by GB Group’s identification verification product in terms of its capabilities and scale and believe it is best placed to provide us with a solution that offers us a true reflection of who our customers are. By helping us meet our regulatory requirements, we can continue to operate responsibly and transparently, a fundamental approach in the way we do business.
“We look forward to developing our European business with GB Group. Entering the European market is part of our global strategy to grow and grab market share. We are confident we are approaching it in a safe, secure and responsible way with the help of GB Group’s identity management expertise.”
12Bet.com revealed that GB Group ID3 technology will enable it to identify customers from around the globe and block those from countries where it does not want to do business.
“Fraud prevention is high on 12Bet.com’s priority list and it is important for it to instil trust among its customers,” said Richard Law, Chief Executive Officer for GB Group.
“We believe we have the best technology in the market to do just this and we are pleased to work with 12Bet.com to offer its customers peace of mind that they are gambling on a protected and responsible site.”
